Finance Committee Volunteer

The finance committee works under the director of the Treasurer to ensure proper NGPA financial compliance, approve budgets, work on finance related projects, and participate in monthly finance committee meetings. 

Committee Volunteer Tasks:

• Attend most monthly finance committee meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5pm central. 

• Support the committee in proper financial operations in alignment with NGPA Financial Operating Procedures.

• Support committee projects and goals. 

• Review and approval annual budgets. 

• Review annual 990 and other filings.

• Offer insight and experience on finance related matters. 

Skills and experience desired: 

• Experience with accounting, non-profit finances, or business finances.

• Experience with team or committee work.

• Experience with budget planning.

• Ability to join monthly meetings via Zoom.

• Familiarity with IRS 990 forms or other tax return forms. 

• Ability to commit 1-3 hours per month to NGPA work. 

• Ability to monitor NGPA emails and Slack messages, and respond in a timely manner.
