Grant Application Coordinator

Position Objective & Purpose

        The Development Committee is responsible for supporting NGPA’s Individual giving programs. Development volunteers work to identify ways to drive individual giving revenue, maintain and cultivate donor relationships, and pursue grant opportunities for the organization.

          This position working under the development committee chair will be focused on NGPA grant coordination, applications, and tailoring proposals for the grants at hand. Ideally NGPA is looking for 2-3 volunteers to fill this roll and work together as a team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Explore grant opportunities through previously obtained grant listings, engaging new grants, and annually engaging grant researchers for new options.

  • Track available grants and ensure NGPA applies for all available options worth pursuing.

  • Tailor NGPA’s grant proposal template to the grant at hand.

  • Complete grant application forms and work the NGPA Operations team to create/locate all required documents for grant applications.

  • Coordinate with fellow volunteers via phone, email, and zoom to deliver on goals and tasks.

Position Expectations

  • Current member of NGPA

  • Prior grant writing, research, or application experience.

  • Ability to commit 1-3 hours a week depending on current activities occurring within the organization.

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with teamwork Initiatives as well as an ability to work independently to meet goals and task deadlines.
