Laing Humphries flies the CRJ-700 out of DFW with SkyWest Airlines.  After college in Lexington, Virginia, Laing worked in executive recruiting in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia before switching into aviation when her dear mentor Tommie recruited her - as he has countless others-into the industry! Having finally been turned on to a career for which she felt immediate passion, she dove headfirst into flying and got her ratings at ATP Flight School at PDK Airport.  Afterwards, she was a flight instructor and then moved into Part 135 operations with Mokulele Airlines, flying the Cessna Caravan inner-island in Hawaii.  Her Grandfather, George, served in the Airforce, and has been a large driving force behind her motivation.  Joining the LGBQT family a little later in life, Laing has a unique perspective on and appreciation of the community, its allies, and those outside of both and is extremely excited to lead any and all who want to join the NGPA family.  There is an underrepresentation of women in aviation and STEM, and the hope is to vastly increase the number of women who fly!
