NGPA Elects New and Returning Directors; Selects New Board Officers

St. Louis Park, MN, November 10, 2022 — The NGPA elected three new directors and four returning directors to its Board at its annual meeting held this year in Tysons, Virginia following the conclusion of the NGPA Aviation Inclusion Summit.

New directors represent a spectrum of experience and capability that will greatly enhance the work of the Board and help to ensure the future success of the organization. The new directors will begin service on January 1, 2023, and include the following:

Amber Stevenson, a pilot with American Airlines. Amber has previously worked as a chief financial officer and supported efforts with the Human Rights Campaign, It Gets Better, and The Red Cross.

Dristin Rose, a pilot instructor for United Airlines. Dristin has served as a pilot and training director for Boutique Air and currently serves on the board of the University Aviation Association and as chair of NGPA’s University Chapters committee.

Ryan Davis, a pilot with United Airlines. Ryan has previously worked for Era Alaska, Compass Airlines, and Northern Air Cargo. He serves as a regular volunteer at NGPA events, including Palm Springs Winter Warm-Up and EAA’s AirVenture while supporting local NGPA chapter events in the Northwest.

In addition to these new directors, NGPA reelected the following directors to three-year terms starting on January 1, 2023: Doug Carr, Andi Sue Phillips, Ari Sarmento, and Travis Johnston

Director Dean Sela, Air Canada, will conclude his service to NGPA on December 31, 2022, following six years on the Board.

Finally, the NGPA Board elected the following directors to fill Board officer roles beginning on January 1, 2023:

  • Chair: Scott Konzem
  • Vice Chair: Doug Carr
  • Secretary: Ryan Lynch
  • Treasurer: Alan Miles
  • Education Fund Officer: Andi Sue Phillips
