The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to Build, Support, and Unite the LGBTQ+ aviation community worldwide.
Position Objective & Purpose
NGPA is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Development Committee Chair. As the Development Committee Chair, you will play a key role in advancing NGPA's mission by leading efforts to secure funding, build partnerships, and support the financial sustainability of the organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities

Develop and implement fundraising goals to support NGPA's programs and initiatives.

Annually evaluate revenue sources to ensure diversity & balance in NGPA fundraising efforts.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors.

Provide regular & ongoing communication with donors, including follow up after major giving events (thank you notes, acknowledgements, etc.).

Lead the Development Committee in identifying new funding opportunities and grant applications.

Collaborate with other NGPA committees to integrate development goals into broader organizational strategies.

Organize and oversee fundraising events and campaigns.

Manage and support donation data entry.

Work with Operations team to regularly document and report on donor impact deliverables and create talking points for fundraising efforts.
Position Expectations

Current member of NGPA

Previous experience in fundraising, development, or related fields.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a volunteer-driven organization.

Familiarity with the aviation industry is a plus.
