Local Chapters Update

Local Chapters across NGPA are kicking off 2024 with lots of events! We are excited to have another banner year with Local Chapters bringing value to NGPA Members and Building, Supporting, and Uniting the Worldwide LGBTQ+ Aviation Community.

In 2024, one of our focus points will be Membership. We are encouraging all our Chapter Leaders to make Membership Drives a central aspect of their Local Chapter Events. We strive to bring value to your NGPA Membership, and we want to welcome non-members who regularly attend our Local Chapter Events into the NGPA Family as full Members.

Additionally, we want to encourage existing NGPA Members to upgrade their membership by becoming Lifetime Members and Flight Deck Members. For many of us, NGPA is family. Our closest friendships have formed through our shared passion for aviation and dedication to continuing the struggle to fight for LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion. Upgrading your NGPA Membership to the Flight Deck Level and becoming a Lifetime Member helps NGPA accomplish our mission to Build, Support, and Unite the Worldwide LGBTQ+ Aviation Community. Local Chapters are an important part of making it happen!

Relaunch of Charlotte – Queen City Flyers

We are so excited to announce that Charlotte – Queen City Flyers is boarding for takeoff! We have a new Local Chapter Director, Matthew French, who is taking the controls. Matthew is the Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Manager, Corporate Communications for Piedmont Airlines. Piedmont is NGPA’s Pride Sponsor once again for 2024! Look for a kickoff event coming soon to the Queen City!

Speaking of Pride!

We have sent out interest forms to Local Chapters to gauge interest in participation in Pride 2024 activities. Local Chapter Directors are encouraged to let NGPA know as soon as possible if they are interested in participating in their local Pride for 2024.
