New Directors and Officers in 2022

<< RETURN TO NGPA NEWS

According to NGPA President, Brian Gambino, “2021 has been a year of change and significant growth for NGPA and we’re excited to begin 2022 with returning and new directors.”  Gambino continued, “I’m excited to continue our great work with these returning and new Directors and to continue NGPA’s valuable mission."

The new directors include:

Jason Isreal, a pilot for Alaska Airline, grew up in Long Island, NY and brings a diverse aviation background to the Board including work with corporate flight departments, on-demand charter operations and scheduled airline flying.  Jason has supported NGPA’s efforts by volunteering on the association’s Scholarship Selection Committee and he represents NGPA at the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals.

Scott Lebovitz is a pilot for Envoy Air.  He lives in Chicago and has led NGPA’s Ally Committee as Chair since 2020.  Scott’s online marketing, product development and website management efforts with his family business will help Board efforts across a range of development opportunities.

Both Jason and Scott will serve 2-year terms which began on January 1, 2022

The Board also re-elected the following directors: Scott Konzem, Ryan Lynch, Alan Miles, Martin Rottler, and Steve Tustin.  These directors will serve 3-year terms starting on January 1, 2022 with the exception of Steve Tustin who was elected to a 2-year term.

In 2020, the Board amended NGPA’s Bylaws to create 3-year terms for directors while reducing to total number of terms served.  This year’s elections finalize the Board’s transition to a more balanced election cycle.

“We are grateful for these and all of our NGPA members who step up to volunteer,” stated NGPA Board Chair, Steve Tustin. “We know that having fresh perspectives and diverse talent are critical to our long-term success, and these new directors are eager to strengthen NGPA’s mission to build, support, and unite the LGBTQ aviation community worldwide.”

NGPA’s Board also elected officers to begin terms starting on January 1, 2022.  The officers include: Steve Tustin, Chair, Scott Konzem, Vice Chair, Ryan Lynch, Secretary, Alan Miles, Treasurer, and Andi Sue Phillips, Education Fund Officer.
