The NGPA Meritorious Service Award recognizes NGPA Members who have shared their aviation industry expertise, provided extraordinary service, exhibited leadership and made significant contributions to the NGPA.

This new award, titled the NGPA Meritorious Service Award, seeks to recognize members that have demonstrated a significant history of extraordinary participation in or support of NGPA. These members will have made significant enduring contributions in specific categories, including visionary leadership, member-driven excellence, LGBTQ+ social responsibility, extraordinary commitment and personal learning and development. We believe that this award will help us to ensure that we learn from and embrace our past while continuing to forge a strong future for our organization.

How to Nominate an Individual

Nominations should include the following: A letter from the nominator naming the nominee and explaining why, in the nominator’s opinion, the nominee is eligible for the award. Supporting documentation is welcomed and may include newspaper clippings, publications and articles, testimonials and any accomplishments and honors as they relate to the nominee and the award criteria.

Call for Nominations

The NGPA annually accepts nominations for the NGPA Meritorious Service Award. After the submission deadline, NGPA Board members review the nominations and determine if there is a suitable recipient(s) for that year. If a nominee is selected, they will be notified and officially recognized at the NGPA Annual Winter Warm Up event.

Who Is Eligible for the Award

Nominees will have demonstrated a significant history of extraordinary participation in or support of NGPA. They will have made significant enduring contributions in specific categories, including visionary leadership, member-driven excellence, LGBTQ+ social responsibility, extraordinary commitment, and personal learning and development. In addition, a nominee must:

· Be nominated by a current member of NGPA,

· Have served in, but no longer holds, a volunteer leadership position within NGPA, such as a committee leader, board member, etc.
