If you’re planning on donating to NGPA, we would like to ask you to consider taking advantage of Giving Tuesday Facebook donation match by committing to making your donation directly to NGPA via our Facebook fundraiser. The catch is that the 7-million-dollar match goes FAST— usually within the matter of a few minutes. So, in order to get in on the match, we’d be asking you to make your donation at 8 a.m. Eastern on December 3.

How do I donate?

We’re asking for you to login to your Facebook account (assuming you have one) a few minutes prior to 8am Eastern Time and go to the NGPA Facebook donation page.

Once It is 8am Eastern Time on December 3rd, the match will begin and that is your chance to donate with the $7 million-dollar match from Facebook. Don’t forget to share the fundraiser with your friends so they can help support NGPA too!

Any donation that receives a match will count towards your Flight Deck status— so if you donate $600 (First Officer level) and it qualifies for the match, then you’ll automatically be credited for the full $1,200 and receive Captain Flight Deck status…it’s a win-win!

What are the funds used for?

Your donation will go towards programs such as Scholarships, Outreach, Advocacy, and more.  Every $ raised helps us make aviation more open and inclusive of the LGBTQ community and achieve our vision of reaching a Destination that is Equal, Authentic, and Respected Everywhere. 

What is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this year on December 3, 2019. The global celebration runs for 24 hours and begins at midnight local time

How does the Facebook match work?

Facebook’s match for GivingTuesday 2019 begins at 8:00 AM Eastern Time (5:00 AM Pacific Time) on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

  • Donations are matched dollar for dollar on a first-come, first-served basis until $7,000,000 USD in eligible donations are made on Facebook.

  • Any US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit eligible to receive donations on Facebook can be matched.

  • Facebook will match up to a total of $100,000 per nonprofit organization.

  • Each donor can have up to $20,000 in eligible donations matched on GivingTuesday.

  • Facebook will cover processing fees so that when you donate using Facebook’s payments platform to a nonprofit organization, 100% of your donation goes to support the cause you care about.
