NGPA’s 2025 Aviation Inclusion Summit Brings Industry Leaders Together to Strengthen Workplace Culture, Safety, and LGBTQ+ Inclusion

McLean, VA — Dec 1, 2025 — The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) is proud to announce the successful completion of the 2025 Aviation Inclusion Summit, presented by Piedmont Airlines. Held at the Hilton McLean and ALPA’s Valo Park, this year’s summit brought together aviation leaders, HR and DEI professionals, flight departments, and industry partners for a focused, high-impact program exploring the future of inclusive and psychologically safe aviation workplaces.

The program opened with an inspiring keynote address by Amanda Simpson, Founder & CEO of Third Segment LLC and former aerospace and defense executive, who challenged the industry to lead with clarity, authenticity, and purpose.

Across two days, attendees engaged in sessions on DEI leadership, generational teamwork, crisis communication, gender-affirming care in the aeromedical process, mentorship, pipeline development, and strategies to strengthen professionalism and culture across aviation environments. A major highlight was the large-group session, Psychological Safety in the Flight Deck, led by keynote speaker Scott Hoesman, which explored how communication, leadership, and inclusion directly influence safety outcomes.

Networking opportunities throughout the summit—supported by PSA Airlines, CommuteAir, United Airlines, and ALPA—allowed participants to exchange best practices and build partnerships that extend far beyond the event.

The summit concluded with Business Allies: How Industry Organizations Strengthen Workplace Culture, a panel showcasing how aviation associations are collaboratively shaping a more equitable and supportive industry.

NGPA extends its appreciation to all sponsors, speakers, and volunteers who supported this year’s event.
