Message From The Executive Director Nov 2025

Happy Holidays, friends! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays for its spirit of giving, hospitality, and connection. To those who spent their Thanksgiving holiday working to ensure safe travel for millions of loved ones, including my own, thank you.

Last month, NGPA held two separate annual events; the 6th Annual Aviation Inclusion Summit, and the 2nd Annual Student Summit. Congratulations to the Events Committee for a well-organized, top caliber event. Attendees have described both as must-attend and highly recommend. Aviation Inclusion Summit keynote Amanda Simpson, pilot, NGPA member, and aerospace and defense executive, shared her incredible story as the first in many respects all throughout her career with the pentagon, aerospace industry, and more. ALPA’s First Vice President, Captain Wendy Morse, spoke during the Welcome Reception on the union’s continued support for organizations like NGPA. Union leaders from all throughout ALPA were present, a reflection of the ongoing work to strengthen our relationship. Thank you to this year’s Aviation Inclusion Summit sponsors: Piedmont, ALPA, Commute Air, Republic, PSA, Third Segment, and United.

More than 100 students were in attendance at this year’s Student Summit. Leaders from NGPA’s student chapters, student members, and even a handful of high school youth participated in the one-day professional development seminar. With a special emphasis on career readiness, being an on-campus leader, and community engagement, this year’s event pulled together a diverse group of members who truly represent the next generation of our community. For many, it was the first time they were able to connect with peers outside their university/school, explore career pathways, and feel what it’s like to be part of the NGPA family. Learn more about the summit in this edition of On The Fly.

Looking ahead, you won’t want to miss one of the many holiday gaytherings hosted by our local chapters all throughout the season. If you haven’t yet attended a local event, holiday parties are a great way to meet fellow members! We appreciate all the work chapter directors and volunteers do all year long to build local connection opportunities, especially around the holidays. Keep up to date with local events on our website, www.ngpa.org/calendar.

On behalf of the Operations Team, I wish everyone a very happy holiday season.

With Pride,

Justin
