Welcome to the December 2025 issue of On The Fly!

Friends---
As we set the parking brake on another year, I find myself incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together. In a year that began with much uncertainty, we’ve continued to move NGPA’s mission forward in meaningful ways through our programs, events, and most importantly, the space we create for our community.
In moments where we face challenges, community isn’t just “nice to have..." it’s essential. Whether it be through mentorship, navigating the aeromedical process, lending resources, sharing support, and so many more ways, members continue to show up for each other no matter the circumstance. It’s been inspiring to witness from the Captain’s seat all the incredible ways our NGPA family has come together.

It was a busy holiday season at the NGPA! With 30+ events across the country and around the world, our community came together in a big way! As we turn towards the New Year, we want to thank our volunteers that made them all possible. We truly cannot grow, support, and uplift our community without your dedication and selfless service to our organization. Best wishes for a happy and successful 2026! We can't wait to see what you accomplish in the new year!

NGPA continues to grow year-over-year, both in membership and outreach. This year, we hosted a record-setting number of events, and we expect even more in the year to come! In order to help the marketing and events teams highlight these spectacular events, we have created a new way to submit photos from your chapter.

Between academic schedules, flight training, internships, financial pressures, and major life transitions, students often move in and out of involvement with NGPA, not because they want to disengage, but because their path is demanding and constantly shifting. NGPA recognized that this reality was creating unnecessary barriers for students who wanted long-term connections and support. While annual student memberships offered flexibility, they did not always reflect how aviation education unfolds over multiple years. The need was clear: a membership option that matched the pace and length of a student’s aviation journey.
In response, NGPA developed the 4-Year Student Membership. This option was shaped by feedback from student members, chapter leaders, and volunteers who expressed a desire for simplicity and continuity. Students wanted to stay engaged without worrying about renewals or losing access during especially busy periods of training. The 4-Year Student Membership provides four consecutive years of student membership through a single enrollment at a discounted rate. It removes annual renewal requirements and ensures uninterrupted access to NGPA during a student’s most formative years in aviation.

As we enter the coldest part of the year, we all are in need of a little defrosting! Whether you're a seasoned attendee looking forward to another year reconnecting with old friends, or a new member to the organization looking to start building your network (or anyone in between!) Palm Springs is ready to welcome you with open arms!
This year's Winter Warm-Up presented by American Airlines is shaping up to be our best yet, with new and returning events like our highly anticipated Twilight Evening Social, Hangar Party, and of course the NGPA Gala, featuring special entertainment guest Maddie Wiener!
