Beau, welcome to the October 2024 issue of On The Fly!

Our Vertical Aviation Committee, led by Board Member and Committee Chair Zac Matthews, is soaring to new heights as they grow in the NGPA family. The VAC is committed to representing members affiliated with helicopters, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and electric vertical takeoff & landing (eVTOL) aircraft, a rapidly growing and vital part of the greater aviation community.
As part of their expanding reach, the VAC will have the groundbreaking opportunity to host a booth on the showroom floor of Vertical Aviation International’s VERTICON 2025 in Dallas on March 11-13th. This will be the first time that an LGBTQ+ affiliated organization will have the opportunity to represent its members at the conference.
VERTICON's mission is to "Gather, Connect, Learn, and Power-Up with the Global Vertical Aviation Industry," with "endless networking opportunities and hundreds of education courses and safety sessions with 15,000 industry professionals and 600+ exhibitors."
Congratulations to our entire Vertical Aviation Committee team, and we are proud to be a part of making all forms of aviation accessible to our membership!
For more information and to attend the conference, please find details HERE.

As we begin to wrap up this year, our whole organization is throttling up for takeoff into 2025! With membership at an all-time high, we expect no slowing down of events, summits, advocacy, and community-building... but we need your help! We have volunteer positions open across a variety of committees and chapters. Whatever you may be interested in, NGPA has a way for you to use your passion to give back to the community.
Check out some of the awesome new committees we've added, and some of the important committees and chapters that continue to grow:
The NGPA Business Aviation Committee is passionate about broadening horizons, connecting communities, and empowering individuals to soar to new heights (above FL420) in their aviation careers.
The General Aviation Committee is your opportunity to ensure that the voices of GA members are heard as NGPA strives to serve its diverse membership.
Transgender and Non-Binary Support Committee:
The Transgender & Non-binary Support Committee exists to build, support, and unite gender-diverse members as part of the greater LGBTQ+ aviation community worldwide.
University and Flight School Chapters:
NGPA University and Flight School chapters offer LGBTQ+ aviation students the opportunity to join a supportive community of classmates and staff that share a passion for aviation. These chapters are a powerful tool in advocating for LGBTQ inclusion and awareness on campus and throughout the field of aviation.
We are also always accepting volunteers for Chapter Events, Marketing, Women's Committee, and More!
