We are just one month away from NGPA’s NEW event, Wings Over Iowa, landing in Cedar Rapids this June 3-5! CALLING ALL AVIATION ENTHUSIASTS and NGPA Members to share our mutual passion for aviation with the local community.

We encourage our members to fly in their aircraft and put them on proud display as we host NGPA’s first ever “Aviation Block Party” on the general aviation ramp at KCID! Airplanes, music, local food vendors and shops will be on hand to make the day a fun and energetic event. We will also be joining Cedar Rapids Pride to support and participate in their VERY FIRST Pride Parade! We hope you will march with us and kick off PRIDE month in a big way.

Registration is OPEN now and more information can be accessed by clicking the image below.

Leadership at NGPA has heard many times over that our organization needs to focus more events towards our General Aviation Community. I am hopeful that our Wings Over Iowa event is just what the AME ordered to ensure our memberships interests in aviation are well represented!

CALLING ALL GA PILOTS! I truly want to hear from you. Please send me an email at [email protected] and let me know what NGPA can do better to represent your interests in aviation! I look forward to talking with you all more about this event and future endeavors!

See you in Cedar Rapids NGPA Family!!

I often joke with my friends about my age—hopefully some of you will chuckle at that remark. Now finally being out of school, working and flying full-time, and having to deal with this thing some call "adulting", I feel older and older by the day, and it's not a satisfying feeling. I suppose that aging and "adulting" are just things that I'll have to continue to deal with, but trust me, I'm not happy about it. The next time you see me, tell me I look youthful and pretty... please.

Do you know what else is beginning to show it's age? ON THE FLY!

It was this month one year ago we sent out the very first monthly newsletter for all of you to enjoy. Though the newsletter has changed drastically over the twelve months, our intent has stayed the same: provide an ad-free source of information and content for our global community of NGPA-ers.

I wanted to take a second to thank each and every one of you for your support in our journey in creating this newsletter. Your feedback, both good and bad, has been imperative in the success of ON THE FLY. That's the beauty of a family isn't it—they're always honest with you, even when you don't necessarily want them to be.

The NGPA calendar for the coming months is filling up quickly! Don't miss out on a summer filled with NGPA events and your LGBTQ+ aviation family! Hopefully I'll see some of you in Cedar Rapids, or at another one of our local or flagship events coming up!

Until next month—

Clear skies!
