Dear Friends,

Welcome to 2023, NGPA! We hope that the new year is off to a great start for all of you.

The NGPA Board of Directors is excited to embark on a new year with a number of goals in mind. One of our top priorities is the selection, onboarding, and spin-up of a new Executive Director. As we work through this task, we are committed to a robust and thorough method that ensures that we find the right fit for this critical role. This process has involved reaching out to a diverse pool of candidates and using a variety of evaluation methods to assess their skills, experience, and fit with the NGPA’s values and mission. We are confident that with this careful and deliberate process, we will be able to find an Executive Director who will bring the leadership, vision, and expertise needed to guide the NGPA into the future.

In addition to the search for a new Executive Director, the NGPA Board of Directors is also focused on building the 2024–2028 strategic plan for the organization. This will be a comprehensive plan that will outline the NGPA’s goals, objectives, and strategies for the next five years, and it will be developed with input from members, partners, and stakeholders. We believe that a strong strategic plan is crucial for the NGPA’s long-term success, and we are committed to creating a plan that will help us achieve our vision of being Equal, Authentic, and Respected—Everywhere.

As we work towards our goals for the new year, we remain committed to our mission of building, supporting, and uniting the LGBTQ aviation community. From commercial pilots to GA pilots, ramp agents, maintenance professionals, and aviation enthusiasts, we believe that the NGPA has something valuable to offer to all of our members, and we hope to continue making a positive difference in the lives of our members in the year ahead. While our focus remains on our core membership of pilots, our goal is to be a welcoming and inclusive organization that brings people together as a single aviation family.
