Transgender & Non-binary Committee Vice-Chair
Position Objective & Purpose
The Transgender & Non-binary Committee Vice-Chairperson is a leader who helps the chair in holding responsibility for all TNB Committee operations. They shall be responsible for fostering and maintaining community amongst Trans and Non-binary NGPA members. They shall be additionally responsible for fostering community amongst Trans, Non-binary, and gender-diverse aviators and enthusiasts across all aviation disciplines. The Chair shall be responsible for creating, scoping, and executing the mission and goals of the Trans and Non-binary Committee.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations

Create, scope, and execute the goals and mission of the committee

Advocate for the needs of Trans, Nonbinary, and Gender-diverse aviation professionals

Become a subject matter expert on FAA Aeromedical requirements for Gender Affirming Care

Plan and execute the annual NGPA Trans & Nonbinary Social

Attend and volunteer at other NGPA flagship events

Maintain an active presence in local chapter activities

Assist members in planning local TNB Committee meets

Admin the NGPA Trans & Non-binary Discord Server

Serve as project leader for all TNB Committee initiatives and projects

Delegate tasks in pursuit of committee goals to Vice-chair and other committee volunteers
Recommended Qualifications

Current member of NGPA.

Active volunteer within NGPA.

Involved in aviation outside of NGPA

Leadership experience within aviation/queer volunteering spaces.

Ability to commit roughly 1-5 hours of time a week.

Ability to attend at least 50% of NGPA Operations Calls.

Direct knowledge and experience of needs of Trans, Nonbinary, and Gender Diverse people.
