Happy (belated) World Pilots Day! Whether you’re flying every week, working toward your first license, or supporting aviation in other ways, this day is a reminder of how NGPA members come together to build community for LGBTQ+ aviators.  

First, I want to congratulate NGPA's Purdue University Student Chapter for hosting over 50+ students from across the Midwest at this year’s NGPA University Chapters – Midwest Social! From start to finish, this student-led event was fantastic, and something you certainly don’t want to miss if you have the opportunity to attend.  

Speaking of students... this year’s scholarship application window will open soon (June)! Keep an eye out on social media (@wearengpa) and your email for more information. In the meantime, now is a good time to start looking at your resume, logbooks, etc... Most of all, good luck to all applicants!  

We are seeking a few additional scholarship evaluators to help with our growing program. If you’re interested in volunteering, please reach out via email ([email protected]).  

Coming up in May, our annual Trans Social Weekend in Chicago, hosted by our Transgender and Non-Binary Committee. Registration is open now! Thank you to the committee for all the help with planning what I know will be another unforgettable weekend.
