Our Women’s Committee recently returned from WAI’s annual conference in Dallas, where once again, NGPA had a strong and visible presence among our peers across the industry. The Women’s Committee's annual social, held during the conference, hosted several hundred attendees who stopped by throughout the evening. Special thanks to Claudia B., Chair of NGPA Women's Committee, Zoe S., Vice Chair, Fiona L., Social Media, and all volunteers who helped out. We couldn’t do it without you! 

This past month, we received an extraordinary and deeply generous gift from the estate of lifetime member, Captain Ralph Higgs (UAL-SFO). Ralph’s $250,000 bequest – the largest of its kind in our history – reflects his legacy of incredible support he demonstrated throughout his life, and now continues forward. Alongside Ralph’s family, we celebrate the impact this will have on our community and honor his strong beliefs in this organization and in the future of the LGBTQ+ aviation community. Thank you, Ralph. Blue skies and tailwinds. 

Looking ahead to the warm and sunny (hopefully!) months to come, we have numerous opportunities on the calendar to connect and debrief. Registration is open for our annual Transgender and Non-binary Social Weekend – open to all members and their friends/family. We’ll be celebrating Pride Month this year in the Windy City for Wings Over Chicago – look for more details to be published on ngpa.org/events. In addition to all that’s going on in-person, you’ll not want to miss the virtual meet-ups and webinars happening periodically all year long. Be sure to follow us on social media @weareNGPA to stay current!
