Friend, welcome to the December 2022 issue of On The Fly!

NGPA Family,

We hope everyone is having a successful send-off to the year as we enter the last few days of 2022. Time is moving fast, yet so is the NGPA Marketing Committee. Since taking over just over a month ago, we have set new goals, established strategies for achieving them, and expanded our committee involvement. This past week we onboarded two new members to the Marketing Committee: Brian Weed & Rebekah Hainline.

If you haven’t already, mark your calendars as our annual 2023 Industry Expo and Winter Warm-Up in sunny Palm Springs, California, is just around the corner. This year, we are very excited to announce that we will have three new keynote speakers that you won’t want to miss!

Be sure to register for NGPA’s flagship Palm Springs Winter Warm-Up, presented by United Airlines! As we get closer to February, registration is filling up! This year's Winter Warm-Up will be held in the Renaissance Hotel. As for the Industry Expo, it will be held in the Palm Springs Convention Center, conveniently located next to the hotel. The Renaissance Hotel is currently sold out for the weekend, but please join our waitlist or view nearby hotels if you are still in need of lodging space.


As we move past a tumultuous couple of years, it is important to emphasize gratitude, community, and authenticity this holiday season. Growing up, I remember having a debate within myself. Despite having a passion for flying in Piper Cubs, Ercoupes, and Navions in my EAA Chapter, I would deliberate the same question: Can I have a career in aviation while being an openly gay man? There was a perceived separation between who I was and my intended career. That question was ultimately answered, obviously and resoundingly, when I found the right community.
