As we bid adieu to the remarkable year of 2023, we reflect upon the numerous connection points hosted by NGPA throughout the year, reminding us of the strength of our community and the boundless possibilities that lie ahead.

The journey through 2023 commenced with a burst of warmth and camaraderie at the annual Industry Expo & Winter Warm-Up in Palm Springs. This event set the stage for what would be a year filled with inspiration and togetherness. It was a testament to the NGPA's commitment to forging paths among aviation enthusiasts from all walks of life.

As seasons changed, so did the locations and the stories that unfolded. NGPA's calendar was adorned with more than 50 local chapter events (& counting!), each a testament to the dedication of our community members. These events served as vital connection points, bringing together pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and allies to share knowledge, experiences, and a deep sense of belonging. They showcased the power of local chapters in building bonds that transcend borders and backgrounds.

Yet, the pinnacle of NGPA's event calendar was the Cape Cod Classic in Provincetown. This coastal gem provided the perfect backdrop – despite the forecasted weather - for our organization’s founding event. Cape Cod Classic is a true testament of NGPA's mission to create a welcoming environment where all members of the LGBTQ+ aviation community can thrive.

As we raise our glasses in gratitude, it is impossible to ignore the dedicated volunteers who made these events possible. Their unwavering commitment to the NGPA and its mission is the lifeblood of our organization. We extend our deepest thanks to every volunteer who lent their time, energy, and expertise to ensure the success of each event.

I’d like to honor the exceptional leadership of Alyssa Ciardiello, National Event Chair, and her remarkable team. Their tireless efforts and meticulous planning resulted in a diverse offering of best-in-class events that left a lasting impact on NGPA members. Alyssa and her team’s dedication is a testament to the strength of our community and the passion that drives us forward.

As we look to the horizon, we eagerly anticipate what the future holds for NGPA in 2024. The excitement begins with the Industry Expo & Winter Warm-Up scheduled for February 15-18 in Palm Springs. This event promises to kickstart another year of building, supporting, and uniting the LGBTQ+ aviation community. It serves as a reminder that, while we celebrate our past achievements, there is always more to accomplish, more connections to forge, and more barriers to break.
