NGPA recognized that this reality was creating unnecessary barriers for students who wanted long-term connections and support. While annual student memberships offered flexibility, they did not always reflect how aviation education unfolds over multiple years. The need was clear: a membership option that matched the pace and length of a student’s aviation journey.
In response, NGPA developed the 4-Year Student Membership. This option was shaped by feedback from student members, chapter leaders, and volunteers who expressed a desire for simplicity and continuity. Students wanted to stay engaged without worrying about renewals or losing access during especially busy periods of training. The 4-Year Student Membership provides four consecutive years of student membership through a single enrollment at a discounted rate. It removes annual renewal requirements and ensures uninterrupted access to NGPA during a student’s most formative years in aviation.
Throughout those four years, students receive all standard student benefits: access to NGPA programs, scholarships, and national events; opportunities to connect with mentors, peers, and industry professionals; engagement with student chapters and student-led initiatives; and an ongoing connection to a welcoming and inclusive aviation community. This structure supports students from their earliest exposure to aviation through major milestones such as checkrides, internships, graduation, and early career decisions—without gaps in connection or access.
The 4-Year Student Membership represents more than a new enrollment option; it reflects NGPA’s long-term commitment to the future of the aviation community. By supporting students consistently over time, NGPA is strengthening the pathway from student involvement to individual member engagement and lifelong membership. This approach helps students build relationships earlier, remain visible within the community, and transition more confidently into the industry.
