Many LGBT+ pilots also navigate unique health needs, such as gender-affirming care and HIV management, which intersect with the strict requirements of aviation medical certification. This presentation highlights the critical role of advocacy in addressing these challenges, emphasizing the need for inclusive policies, systemic reforms, equitable access to care, and competent mental health support.
